A Harsh noise tribute to Robert Earl Davis Jr. aka DJ Screw.

A true pioneer in sound and hip hop. Screw made well over 300 screwtapes (mixtapes with his signature chopped & screwed sound, freestyles and remixes) He would dub tapes for his friends, fans and people curious in his style and sell them out of his house and out of his trunk and local shows. He etched his legacy in the music world despite leaving this world too soon.

He transcended beyond just the hip hop culture, inspiring, to this day, a different way of doing things in sound. In tribute, these recordings are made via an analog set up of a realistic stereo reverb system, radioshack 5ch mixer with 7 band eq and a korg ax3000g tone works effects station ran into a peavey bandit 112 and a Roland cube 60 simultaneously. Recorded directly to a cheap, unbranded c90 using an Optimus SCT-86. All sound sources are different tracks made by screw. Features 2pac, Botany Boys, Ice Cube, Too Short, Dana Dane, Lil Kim, Westside Connection, 20 2 Life, Grandmaster Flash and many more
